This is one of my favorite TV shows!
-Premiered on Sept. 22, 2005
-Follows a team of profilers at the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. The BAU is part of the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crimes
-Focuses more on the criminal than the crime
-The series initially centered on Jason Gideon(Mandy Patinkin), Aaron Hotchner(Thomas Gibson), and the rest of the Behavioral Analysis Unit. For the first season, that team consisted of Elle Greenway(Lola Glaudini), Derek Morgan(Shemar Moore), Dr. Spencer Reid(Matthew Gay Gubler), Jennifer "JJ" Jareau(AJ Cook) and Penelope Garcia(Kirsten Vangeness).
-In 9th episode of the 6th season, Elle was replaced by Emily Prentiss(Paget Brewster). At the start of the 3rd season, Gideon departs and is replaced by David Rossi(Joe Mantegna). During the 6th season, JJ leaves and to replace her is Ashley Seaver(Rachel Nichols)
-Aaron Hotchner: Thomas Gibson. Hotchner is a severely dedicated FBI agent who often spends too much time away from home
-Jason Gideon: Mandy Patinkin. Gideon is a gifted profiler with an extreme hate of religion as a justification for crimes. He is also very protective of the team members, especially Dr. Reid and Agent Morgan
-David Rossi: Joe Mantegna. Was a Sgt. Major in US Marines to avoid the lure of organized crime.
-Elle Greenway: Lola Glaudini. Elle was assigned to Seattle field office for FBI profiling sexual offenders
-Emily Prentiss: Paget Brewster. Her mother Elizabeth is ambassador to several countries, including the Ukraine
-Derek Morgan: Shemar Moore: worked as a Chicago police officer, and when he went into a youth center, the coordinator, Carl Buford, started sexually abusing him
-Spencer Reid: Matthew Gray Gubler. Genius and self learner, Gideon introduced him as Dr. Reid because he feared that Reid would not be taken seriously because of his young age.
-Jennifer Jareau: AJ Cook. Younger member of the BAU
-Penelope Garcia: Kirsten Vangeness. Computer technician who often flirts with Agent Derek Morgan
-Ashley Seaver: Rachel Nichols. FBI cadet
